The World, by Nakheel

In Dubai The World is currently constructed in the sea. No double agenda here or some attempt to abstraction, but a direct flat representation of the world as it is mostly mapped. The rounded edge of the world-map is echoed in a circular island that protects the archipelago of islands from the rough open sea and erosion.
